“Parents deserve clear, evidence-based guidance when making decisions about their children’s health. At a time when unprecedented changes to the federal vaccine schedule threaten decades of scientific progress, the AMA strongly supports the American Academy of Pediatrics' childhood and adolescent immunization schedule to keep children safe and healthy.” http://spr.ly/6185h6r95

The AMA Alliance

Since 1922, the AMA Alliance has been a valuable network of grassroots organizations whose goal has been to educate and serve communities. The Alliance also reaches out to support its members by providing resources for physician families as they transition through the stages of a medical career. Our goal continues to be to connect and engage individuals and groups in order to promote health and wellness initiatives across communities. The result is an engaged organization helping each other and the communities in which we live.

As a 501c4 nonprofit organization, the AMA Alliance is committed to developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to assist in promoting the strategic goals of the organization. Historical collaborations with numerous groups have promoted national health and wellness initiatives and as a result, have improved public health. Hand washing, proper nutrition, child safety, and drug prevention are just a few of the issues the AMA Alliance has undertaken with its partners. The Alliance Health Education Initiative is a 501 c3 partner organization which has awarded over $25,000 in health grants to Alliance Affiliates collaborating with local community groups.

The AMA Alliance has a long history of being at the forefront of promoting health and wellness initiatives and also supporting the legislative priorities of the American Medical Association. Building healthy communities within the physician family as well as where we live is an integral component of the AMA Alliance. We value collaboration. Working together as a team we can make a difference and have a greater impact. It is so important that we all become involved--for yourself, for family, for friends, and for your community.
