Results of our breakthrough research in collaborative with the University of Miami is out and will be presented by Dr. Sig and our graduate assistant Melanie this month at the American College of Sports Medicine and the abstracts will be published in Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise journal in May. You wont believe what we discovered!
We tested energy expenditure via VO2 max and then compared High Speed salutations with Slow Speed. Many people believe yoga is to be slow yet for optimal health physiologically your body also needs velocity! Those of you that have experienced speed in some of our greenmonkey method classes now you know why!
Science has just proven that in the same period of time you do much more work and in our preliminary data the subjects expended up to 100% more oxygen therefore calories! Great for targeted weight loss!!! And now our science just proved it! So exciting!!! And I have one more coming to you on the difference of muscle utilization.
