I had the opportunity to speak with residents at Watergarden Condominium about common spine issues, the latest treatment options available, and the services we provide to support individualized care.
The presentation was followed by an open Q&A, creating space for thoughtful questions, meaningful discussion, and shared understanding around spine health and treatment decisions!

A board-certified physiatrist and fellowship trained in interventional spine and sports medicine, and dedicated to the treatment of spine and sports-related pain. My goal is to bring the highest level of expertise in non-surgical treatments designed to help alleviate pain, and improve my patients’ quality of life while changing the face of pain medicine using a mixture of conventional and cutting-edge wellness techniques to alleviate the patient’s pain while avoiding both surgery and long-term addictive medication.
At the forefront of significant advancements in the management of pain, I help patients of all ages who suffer from all forms of pain, including lower back, mid-back, and neck; as well as issues affecting nerves, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons. I individually tailor treatment plans highlighting the most progressive techniques comprising of, but not limited to, the Intracept® procedure, Steroid Injections, Kyphoplasty/Vertebroplasty, Ultrasound-Guided Injections, Spinal Cord Stimulators, Sympathetic Blocks, and Radiofrequency Ablation. As the first and only physician in South Florida to offer breakthrough treatment for patients with chronic low back pain, I’m deeply committed to research and development in the field of regenerative medicine, utilizing such procedures as Stem cell and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections.
I’m always investigating previously unexplored options for my patients. I approach each case with a team-driven mindset, creating a patient-physician partnership resulting in personalized treatment plans designed to achieve the best results. Relentlessly pursuing improvements in the overall health and wellness of my patients using an array of options from diet, exercise, therapies, non-opioid medications, and interventions. One of the first practitioners to offer a new, minimally-invasive treatment for both spinal stenosis and degenerative disc disease that falls on the continuum of care, between conservative and surgery.
As a native New Yorker, I embarked on my professional journey at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. From there, I completed my PM&R residency at Albany Medical College, followed by an Interventional Sports and Spine Fellowship at Alabama Orthopedic Spine & Sports Medicine Associates.
I’m an active member in a number of medical organizations, including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Spine Intervention Society, and the Florida Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
As an avid sports fan and former collegiate pitcher, I understand how an injury can affect a person’s physical and emotional well-being. In his free time, I enjoy being active playing tennis, golf, baseball, traveling and cooking.
