BPPV is benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, and it is a common cause of vertigo, a feeling of spinning or dizziness caused by a problem in the inner ears, semi circular canals . It’s triggered by specific head movements often when lying down, sitting up, or turning in bed . The Dix-Hallpike maneuver is a diagnostic test used to identify it. This lovely patient of ours is positive in the left ear.
