The Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade is one of Fort Lauderdale's most cherished traditions. Holy Cross Health was honored to serve as a sponsor for the 2025 celebration, which officially kicked off at Tunnel Top Park overlooking the historic Stranahan House and Riverside Hotel. As the presenting sponsor for the VIP viewing area, we welcomed more than 500 community leaders and partners to celebrate the energy and spirit of South Florida.

Kindling light in our world was at the heart of our Chanukah celebration at Holy Cross Health. Led by our Spiritual Care Team, we came together to light the menorah, join in song and enjoy jelly donuts. Most of all, we celebrated the ways even small acts of light and kindness can bring people together and make a difference in our community. Sharing these moments reminds us how meaningful it is to honor different traditions that shape and strengthen who we are.

Thanks to the generous support of Wanda and Jim Moran Jr., Holy Cross Health has added a new state-of-the-art CT scanner to the Wanda & Jim Moran, Jr. Emergency Department. This philanthropic gift enhances diagnostic capabilities and strengthens emergency care for our community. The CT scanner is now open and available to patients in the ED, offering faster and more precise imaging.

We are grateful to recognize Von Biggs, our Case Manager for Global Outreach, for his dedication to serving the community. Von was presented with the World AIDS Day Proclamation during a Wilton Manors commissioner meeting with Mayor Scott Newton and city commissioners in recognition of his work in the community.

It reflects a commitment to equity, education and advocacy for people living with HIV and those most impacted. As we close our 70th anniversary celebration, we reflect on a legacy that continues to grow through the work happening across Holy Cross Health today. For seven decades, our Mission has guided how we care for our community, and that same commitment is shaping the future of the services we are building now.
Our new HCMG – Family Health Center in Oakland Park brings pediatric care, rehabilitation and supportive therapies together in one thoughtful space created for children and families at every stage of growth and healing.

We also celebrated the groundbreaking of our free-standing Emergency Department in Deerfield Beach, set to open in 2026. This new facility will expand access to emergency care and strengthen our presence in the communities that rely on us.

These milestones show how the legacy that began 70 years ago continues to guide our path forward. This anniversary reminds us that our work is grounded in Mission, shaped by history and supported by the trust of the families we serve. Together, we continue building excellence, advancing care and touching lives every day.

Coral Ridge Country Club recently hosted its 8th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Tennis Tournament benefiting Holy Cross Health Foundation. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, this year’s tournament raised funds to help bring new mammography machines to the Dorothy Mangurian Comprehensive Women’s Center—advancing breast health care for women throughout Broward County. These enhancements will support early detection, reduce wait times, and improve the overall patient experience.
