When we are living in recovery, we understand that the holiday season can be a trigger for those of us trying to live healthy and sober!

Here are a few tips for a Sober & Happy Thanksgiving:

🍁 Have sober strategies in place - develop a plan to protect your sobriety ahead of time and feel empowered to have an escape plan in situations that could cause triggers.
🍁 Adjust your attitude - recovery is a one-day-at-a-time time endeavor regardless of the season, so breathe and take things slow.
🍁 Practice Self-care - take time for yourself and nourish your body with proper nutrition, exercise, and restorative sleep

Remember that no matter our circumstances or challenges, there is something in each day to embrace, cherish, and be grateful for! 💚
