๐Ÿ’™ Meet the Home Visitor: Stephanie
Stephanie started with HOPES January 2026 and is quickly building great relationships with her families.
What do you love most about this work? Being able to help new moms learn about resources. I love to be able to watch them grow in their new roll and overcome challenges.
Why does this work matter to you? I feel home visiting matters because it helps moms feel as if they aren't alone in this new role they're entering. I love the idea of being able to guide people to success.
I am a single mom to a 4-year-old myself. I love to have some quiet car time after a long day.

Thank you Stephanie for all you do ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ’™ Meet the Home Visitor: Susan Jeffries
Susan has spent 6 years supporting families through HOPES.
What do you love most about this work? I feel that being a Home Visitor is a very rewarding job! You start out as complete strangers with a family who just found out that they are either expecting or have a newborn, then can watch the bond grow between a caregiver and their child until they turn 5 years old.
I love that I can support the family with activities to promote parent child interaction, provide education on various topics such as developmental milestones, and offer resources in the community that the family may find beneficial. I get excited when families share stories about their children. You can see the joy on their face and hear the enthusiasm in their voice. I like it when a family engages in discussions as we visit and then later apply that knowledge they learned to their own lives.
Why does this work matter to you? I enjoy watching the children in these families grow into happy, healthy kids, while their parents continually work to become the best versions of themselves. A lot of the families that I work with thrive to make a difference and positive change for their family. Their strength and resilience are truly inspiring, and I feel honored to have the opportunity to be a part of their journey.
Thank you Susan! We appreciate the care and dedication you bring to this work ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ’™ Meet the Home Visitor: Amy Cook
For 14 years, Amy has been helping families grow and thrive through HOPES.
What do you love most about this work? I love this work because I get to witness the moment a parent connects with their child and realizes, โ€˜Iโ€™m doing this.โ€™
Why does this work matter to you? This work matters to me because it helps families recognize their own potential and confidence to do things on their own. I love seeing families succeed and grow into the best version of themselves; not what others expect, but what they define for their own lives. Being a part of that is a privilege.
Fun fact: I run on coffee, love a good book, and prefer calm over chaos any day.
Weโ€™re so grateful for the impact you make ๐Ÿ’™

National Home Visiting Week is coming up, and itโ€™s a great time to highlight what home visiting is all about.
Home visiting supports families during one of the most important times in a childโ€™s life, the first five years, when lifelong development is shaped. Home visitors partner with families to support healthy child development, positive parenting, and strong emotional connections. We also help connect families with health, safety, and community resources so they donโ€™t have to navigate it alone.
Itโ€™s about building confidence, strengthening families, and giving children a strong start from day one.
