Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month-March

What is Colorectal Cancer?
Colorectal Cancer starts in the colon or re**um. It often begins as small growths called polyps, which can turn into cancer over time-but screening can find and remove them early.

Why it Matters
β€’ Colorectal cancer is one of the most common cancers
β€’ It is highly treatable when found early
β€’ Screening saves lives

Know the Warning Signs
β€’ Blood in stool
β€’ Changes in bowel habits
β€’ Ongoing stomach pains or cramping
β€’ Unexplained weight loss
β€’ Feeling tired or weak
Many people have no symptoms, which is why screening is so important.

Who Should Get Screened?
β€’ Adults 45 years and older
β€’ People with a family history of colorectal cancer
β€’ Anyone with symptoms-no matter the age

Reduce Your Risk
β€’ Eat more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains
β€’ Stay active
β€’ Maintain a healthy weight
β€’ Limit alcohol
β€’ Avoid smoking

Take Action Today
β€’ Talk to your healthcare provider
β€’ Schedule your screening that is right for you
β€’ Encourage family and friends to get screened

Early Detection Saves Lives
Screening can prevent colorectal cancer-or catch it early when treatment works best.
Talk to your healthcare provider and schedule your screening today.
