All parents simply want the best for their children, and starting life off on the right foot quickly escalates to a top priority once their little one arrives in the world.🧑‍🍼
The brain grows at its’ fastest rate during the first couple years of life. This most important organ in growth and development, takes off like a rocket ship in learning, growing, and expanding. When it comes to the health of a newborn, making sure the brain is optimized for growth, development, and meeting developmental milestones during this period is a key to having a future of vibrant health.
Milestones for newborns are often used as a measuring stick to determine proper neurological development and healthy growth patterns. There are possibilities of birth traumas and stressors during the birth process that can lead to dysfunction and subluxation (neurological stressors) within the nervous system. Prenatal stress is another factor that may directly influence stress on the nervous system of the of both Mom and little one.
If subluxation and neurological stress occur early in life, the nervous system can be altered and the possibility of delays in development are more likely. These early stressors can set the stage for future impacts on the child, so it becomes extremely important to address these as early as possible. Delayed or prolonged periods of not meeting milestones can be key indicators of an improper coordination of the nervous system.🧠
What makes us different, is we start by focusing on looking at the health of the nervous system from these early periods in life. We use INsight scanning technology to determine if there is any imbalance or dysfunction in the neurological system of a newborn. The nervous system controls the function of all the systems of the body, so it is of utmost importance to make sure this system is regulated and not overworked. INsight neurolgocial scans provide us the opportunity to look inside and see how the body is responding and regulating. These scans become a foundational piece to ensure healthy growth habits and the proper meeting of milestones! ✅

Children with hyposensitivity sometimes react differently to sensory inputs such as sights, sounds, smells, and textures, which causes them to seek out more sensory experiences. To the outside, it might look like making funny sounds in class, not reacting to touch, or sounds like a teacher loudly calling out their name. 🗣️ It also can look like ignoring unwritten boundaries, a need to bounce around, or squeezing their favorite stuffed animal extra hard. 🧸 Sensory seeking can often be seen as misbehaving rather than a child with hyposensitivity needing support. With sensory seeking sometimes comes bullying and being made fun of due to these "behaviors." 😞

"I just want them to fit in" is something we hear parents say often. The good news is that the root cause of all of this can almost always be tracked to a dysregulated nervous system! But how are the two connected?? Neurologically-Focused Pediatric Chiropractic Adjustments put sensory input into the brain and body, which can calm the nervous system and allow your child to be the kid they were meant to be! 💪🥹
