Divya hit her first barbell bench press today!
On her first set, she couldn’t get one rep up. But after a little coaching — learning how to breathe, brace, and get her positioning right — she nailed it. By her last set, she knocked out 5 solid reps.
You can actually see me start running over at the end — don’t worry, we wouldn’t let her get stuck without a spot!
Still a few small things we’ll keep working on, but for a first day on the barbell — this was huge.
This is what it’s all about — doing things you’ve never done to get results you’ve never had.
Being bold enough to challenge yourself, step out of your comfort zone, and push to be a little better every day.
The biggest win isn’t just the lift — it’s the confidence that comes from mastering something new and realizing you were stronger than you thought.
