Bringing Forth Blessings Christian Doula Services

Bringing Forth Blessings Christian Doula Services Offering unconditional support to women and their families through pregnancy and childbirth in any t Working as a doula is a true passion of mine.

My name is Ashleigh Young, and I am the owner of Bringing Forth Blessings. I am trained, certified, and dedicated to continuing my education to bring the most comprehensive and individualized support possible. Although I have recently become a Registered Nurse, I remain within a doula's scope of practice and provide professional physical, emotional, psychological, and intellectual support to women and their families throughout the childbearing process. I believe pregnancy is a special time of a woman's life, that it should be celebrated, nurtured, and the family surrounded in support. I believe that each family's decision on how to bring their child into the world is right for them, and fully deserving of support in their decisions. I am passionate about serving families through this unforgettable time. It brings me great joy to come alongside each family as they welcome their child into the world, and I am humbly honored each time I am invited to do so. In addition to birth doula services, Bringing Forth Blessings also offers postpartum services, consultations, and belly casting. Oh man, these photos cut right to the heart! Nearly every one of these photos reminds me of a special moment I've had with a client over the years.

Someone said that people will forget what you say and what you do, but they will never forget how you made them FEEL. I may not remember the details surrounding every birth I've witnessed, but I most definitely remember how each client made me feel at their birth!

These images capture the amazing bond between moms and doulas.

Although it couldn't be a more normal event, the fear of giving birth is a very real reality for many women. Due to various reasons, I believe our society has a greater percentage of women with this fear than in many other parts of the world.

I'm no counselor, but coming alongside women with this particular fear during their pregnancy is one of my greatest privileges. Often, gently filling in the gaps where vital information is missing on the natural process of giving birth, is enough to relieve this fear. Other times, a steady hand is needed throughout the pregnancy and labor to help the expectant mother through her birth experience.

This is one of the benefits to hiring your doula early on in your pregnancy. My support begins the moment you hire me for reasons such as this.

Remember - you are strong, and you are capable of great and amazing things! 💗

Fear of childbirth was associated with longer labor and increased need for emergency C-sections, a new Norwegian study found.

"This is what 24 hours postpartum looks like. Baby in sling. Skin to skin. Adult diapers. And a rosy glow. My body feels like it ran a marathon and my heart is wide open from yesterday's travels. Birth opens us like an earthquake opens the earth and I am still in the intimate, fragile throes of that opening. I feel raw. Emotional. Different. I feel like I'm on the undulating surface of the rippling ocean being tossed back and forth between happiness, gratitude, melancholy, and grief. 23 hours ago I held life within and 24 hours ago I surged and transformed allowing life to flow through me, into my waiting hands. The emptiness in my womb brings a heavy feeling crashing into reality but then this new little life whimpers, searching for the breast with soft rooting, and I feel whole again. I am still processing the beautiful transition my whole family has traveled through and I am in complete awe of our strength as humans, women, and mothers. This time is simply unlike any other." -- .moon

A C-section doesn't have to mean the end of a great birth experience! SO much can be done to make it a unique and memorable experience for you!

The clear-drape cesarean section is part of an emerging birthing trend called family-centered cesarean, which allows the family to have a more active role in childbirth, even when that birth comes via surgery.

When down in the kitchen there arose such a clatter, I waddled downstairs to see what was the matter. (And to p*e.)

I hear so often from first-time expectant moms and others how much they fear childbirth, think it's gross, etc. I think our culture has done a pretty good job at promoting these ideas, which often originate from being misinformed.

I *love* birth, and this article lists several reasons why. What did you like most about your childbirth experience?

We hear so much negativity about birth, but there is lots to love. Here are 10 things to love about childbirth! Birth is awesome!

It's no secret that I believe every baby is a blessing, but unfortunately this isn't always the view families have. Perhaps you've experienced the letdown when your mother, sister, or other close relative didn't share your joy in your pregnancy. If so, you aren't alone.

"All we can do is try not to let those jaw drops ruin our own celebration. And hey … in most cases, most of the time, even the most horrified relation usually softens once they set eyes on that newborn babe."

The truth is, when we supersize our own branch, we are adding to a family tree. And while we'd love to hear nothing but joy at the announcement of another sprout, we can't control the reactions of others.

This is so beautiful!

This is so beautiful!

Thousands of unborn babies do not survive their own birth. This number needs to go down. It's practically impossible as a single and pregnant mom to help, so we came up with a Charity idea.
