Nichols' has been in the fitness industry for almost a decade. She is a certified personal trainer, TRX instructor, Barre instructor and comprehensively trained Pilates Instructor. Nichols says, "My first love will always be Pilates because of it's in-depth study of the human body which provides the knowledge both to heal and physically challenge a wide range of participants in different stages of life within one thoughtful methodology." Nichols offers Pilates group reformer classes, one-on-one private Pilates training sessions and TRX fusion group classes. It is her mission to guide and motivate people to not only feel comfortable in their own body but to be proud of their journey and accomplishments. Nichols says, "I can appreciate the obstacles of living a healthy lifestyle because I too have experienced them!- Time restraints, body aches and pains, injury, slowing metabolism, pregnancy, etc. I use those experiences to fuel my dedication to teach others the tools to overcome their current struggles and reclaim the lifestyle they want."

❗️You did all the things! Everyone is raving about PILATES lately. So you tried and ugh....it just wasn't for you! Let's break this down!!

👊FIRST, PILATES is NOT a weight loss program!! That is not what it is intended for, so let's just clear that up now! It is also not going to BULK you up. We need both cardio and strength training ALONG with Pilates.

Now let's go into some others....

💥What is Controlology - the name Joseph Pilates gave his methods, reflecting his belief in the importance of the mind's control over the body. “It is the mind itself which builds the body. The Pilates Method teaches you to be in control of your body – and not at its mercy.”

❗️Fact- You may not be doing pilates. Are we saying that Classical or Contemporary is better than the other? NO! We are saying do AUTHENTIC PILATES! Know who is teaching you! Where are the certifications from, was it a weekend online, or have they had practice hours teaching, observing, and learning! We have ALL types of CERTIFICATIONS at Pilates Cure ( Personal Trainers to Mindset), but we teach PILATES! Do they intermingle? Yes, definitely, but we try and keep PILATES Pilates because that is what the clients come to the studio for!

💥Are you open for CORRECTIONS?! Even the best of students and instructors will need corrections. That is the joy of Pilates. Your instructor should be watching you carefully and helping you to connect better to the movements! You should be open to these corrections and know where your body is. Pilates is a MIND BODY connection! You have to be open to try and find those deeper connections and corrections!

💥PILATES is a LIFESTYLE!! You have to carry your pilates practice with you day in and day out. You can't just come to one or two classes a week and think that is all. You have to think of your imbalances, your posture, and your alignment throughout your day and nights!

Not all Pilates studios are the same. What makes us different?

✨You can’t blend into the crowd bc there is not crowd. Our largest class is 5 people.

✨ We can see when you are just going through the motions vs when you are locking into your body vs when you are overcompensating with your body - and we will help you understand how to “lock in” with your body and find ease and power in your movement

✨ we get to know you, your wants/goals, and the things your body needs that you don’t recognize yet. - We teach and mentor from there. Everybody starts at a different place.

✨ we usage all senses to teach skills: verbal, tactile (with permission) and visual because that’s how we make the biggest impact to create change

✨ We have felt the work and it’s benefits in our own bodies for YEARS, we have taught the work and walked beside to a wide variety of clients for YEARS, we have watched master teachers teach others and learned from them. - Pilates is in us and we can’t help but share it with you in a way you have never experienced 🤍

Who we are:

The Pilates CURE is Fort Mill’s exclusive boutique Pilates Studio. Conveniently located close to I-77 on Highway 21 Bypass between the scenic River Walk in Rock Hill and the iconic Peach Stand in Fort Mill.

The Pilates CURE is firmly rooted within the community of Fort Mill and continues to grow due to the results people have achieved working with Andrea and her staff as well as the friendly atmosphere they continue to provide. The Pilates CURE takes great pride in not only serving Fort Mill though the form of Pilates and Fitness, but also by giving back to the community by supporting local organizations through various food drives and participating in charity events throughout the year.
