March is National Kidney Month, a time to raise awareness about kidney disease and remind ourselves just how important it is to take charge of our health 💙

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) affects over 35 million people and often goes unnoticed until symptoms appear. It’s a progressive condition that can lead to serious complications like heart attack, stroke, and even kidney failure. The good news? Small, consistent lifestyle changes can make a big difference.

✨ Here are simple ways to protect your kidney health:

✔️ Stay connected with your healthcare team—whether in person or through telehealth
✔️ Keep your blood pressure in check & monitor blood sugar if you have diabetes
✔️ Take medications as prescribed & avoid NSAIDs like ibuprofen and naproxen unless directed
✔️ Maintain a healthy weight with balanced nutrition
✔️ Move your body—aim for at least 30 minutes of activity daily
✔️ Manage stress in healthy ways
✔️ Get 7–8 hours of sleep each night
✔️ Quit smoking if you currently smoke

Today was a great day at Sunridge Assisted Living! 🍕
Arizona Life Hospice had the pleasure of bringing everyone together for a fun pizza gathering. It was wonderful sharing smiles, laughter, and good food with such an amazing community.
Moments like these remind us how special it is to connect and create joy together. Thank you to everyone who joined us we loved spending time with you! 🍕

🌵🏜️Did you know? Arizona Life Hospice proudly serves all of Mohave County, including Kingman, Topock, and Lake Havasu City. 🌵🏜️

We know there are many hospice choices in our community, and families often ask what makes one hospice different from another.

First, a little education: all hospice agencies….whether nonprofit or for-profit…..are reimbursed the same Medicare hospice benefit rate. That means the level of care patients receive should always meet the same high standards across the board.

Social workers play such an important role in hospice care. They provide emotional support, guidance, and resources for patients and families during some of life’s most difficult moments. Their compassion, patience, and dedication help ensure that no family feels alone on this journey.
Kathleen and Jennifer go above and beyond every day to advocate for our patients, support their loved ones, and bring comfort when it’s needed most. We are so grateful to have them as part of the Arizona Life Hospice team.
