Stimulating this point with pressure or acupuncture will strengthen the lungs (most affected during the fall), lightens the heavy feelings of sadness or loss, and aids in accessing deeper levels through the breath. 🔥 Moxibustion for lower leg edema- whenever someone comes in with pitting lower leg edema, I always think “moxa moxa moxa!” Moxibustion is a type of heat therapy that ignites the yang of the body to transform fluids and prevent them from sinking into the legs. What’s left at the end is a yellow resin from the herb (Artemesia), which can be rubbed into the point after treatment.

🐙 Cupping During Pregnancy! In a normal pregnancy, cupping the lower back two weeks before delivery clears any blockages in the pelvis. This is a good treatment to prepare the mother’s body for labor. It may also improve “back labor” as well.
