Congratulations to our friend Jayden, as he recently rang the bell after completing treatment for Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH)! 🔔💙

Diagnosed in December 2024 and finishing treatment this past September, there’s nothing this kiddo can’t do.

Jayden loves music, so of course this celebration hit all the right notes. 🎶

Diabetes shouldn’t have to hold kids back. We’re here to debunk some common myths with Jena Kelly, RN & Diabetes Educator with Golisano Children’s Hospital. 💙

❌ Myth: “You can only eat certain things.” Truth: It’s all about balance! Kids with diabetes can enjoy a variety of foods with the right plan in place.

❌ Myth: “You can’t have sweets.” Truth: Treats absolutely aren’t off-limits. Moderation and timing matter!

❌ Myth: “You can’t exercise.” Truth: Staying active is not only allowed, it’s encouraged! Exercise helps kids manage their blood sugar and feel their best.

There’s plenty to be thankful for this holiday season! 🧡🦃

Thanks to the generosity of the Lee Health Foundation, our tiniest patients and their families enjoyed a special Thanksgiving celebration from our Golisano Children’s Hospital NICU Department.

To our NICU families, nurses, and care teams, your strength and love inspire us every day. 💙

A small act can make a life-changing difference. 💙

This past week, the Lee Health mobile blood unit visited Golisano Children’s Hospital and reminded us of just how important blood donations are for kids and families across Southwest Florida.

Donated blood helps our youngest patients battling leukemia, cancer, anemia, and those recovering from surgery or injury. Just one pint can be separated into components that support multiple patients.

Did you know that the donation itself takes only 5–10 minutes, and every donor receives a mini-physical at no cost?

We’re officially in the holiday spirit! ❄️

Our annual Tree Lighting event was a magical time. 🌟🎄 Orange River Elementary and Project SEARCH filled the air with holiday songs, Santa and Mrs. Claus made a special appearance, and of course… you can’t go wrong with cookies, hot chocolate, and a fully decked-out golf cart!

A hospital stay can feel overwhelming, but our Child Life team is here to make it easier. 💙

Hear from Rachel, one of our amazing child life specialists here in the Pediatric Hematology Oncology Unit, on how she supports children and families with care and comfort. “We’re not just treating the patient, we’re treating the entire family as a whole.”

Our November weather looks a little different here in Southwest Florida, but our fall enthusiasm is the same nonetheless! 🍂

Special shoutouts to our incredible Child Life team and the many hands who helped bring our annual Fall Festival to life. Our patients and families had an unforgettable afternoon, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Thank you to everyone who contributed, volunteered, and showed up to make this event truly special!
