Each year, Career Quest opens our doors to the 6th–8th grade children of Shell Point employees for a full day of hands-on exploration in healthcare, dining, marketing, and skilled trades. It's a chance for kids to step into their parents' work world, discover paths they never knew existed, and picture their own future.

It was great to welcome Occupational Therapy students from Florida Gulf Coast University Department of Rehabilitation Sciences as they gathered baseline data for a research project focused on medication management and cognitive health. Our resident volunteers played an important role by sharing their time and perspectives, helping these future clinicians build the skills and understanding they’ll bring to patients in the years ahead.

Cleveland Clinic's Dr. Amre Nouh explains how innovation is improving survival, recovery, and long-term brain health for today's patients on Friday, January 30 at 10 a.m. in Tribby Arts Center. A friendly pelican party crasher made an appearance at the Shell Point Green Trail kick-off! Created in partnership with SCCF, this self-guided or resident docent-led experience features educational signs about wading birds, mangroves, shells, littoral zones, and more. Grab a map at our Welcome Center and explore the nature that surrounds Shell Point!

Residents shared a milestone moment as they signed a structural beam for Shell Point’s new Island Commons. Taking shape along with Vista Cay, this four-story resident amenity building is designed for resilience and will offer welcoming spaces to dine, connect, and enjoy the beauty of our waterfront setting. Opening is set for the first half of 2027, and the excitement is building!
