Weâre proud to call Dr. Kristina Mirabeau-Beale one of ours! đ Her journey from OB/GYN to radiation oncology highlights her passion for womenâs health and her compassion for patients facing breast cancer as well as those navigating other cancer diagnoses.
"Through early research and patient interviews at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, I learned the power of hearing a patient's story in full. Those experiences showed me how deeply personal the cancer journey is." said Dr. Mirabeau-Beale.
FMA member Kristina Mirabeau-Beale, MD, MPH, was focused on becoming an OB/GYN when she entered Harvard Medical School. But early clinical experiences, combined with her background in anthropology and womenâs studies, led to a fulfilling career in radiation oncology. âI love that it blends technology, physics, and patient care,â she said.

Weâre proud to share this recent feature from Oncology News Central highlighting the next chapter for GenesisCare U.S. of Floridaâwhich will relaunch as SunState Medical Specialists following the acquisition by OneOncology. âď¸
Dr. Jeff Patton shared how this transition reflects OneOncologyâs continued commitment to supporting community-based cancer care across Floridaâjust as they do with partner practices in Tennessee and New York.
Dr. Kristina Mirabeau-Beale, a radiation oncologist in Fort Myers and Cape Coral, spoke to the importance of this effort:
âWeâre going to hit close to a million people in the next few years. So, community medicine really is the backbone of providing strong medical care across specialties.â
Weâre inspired by the strength and resilience of our physician teams and are excited for whatâs ahead as we continue serving patients across the state.
Congratulations to Dr. Keith Miller, the 2025 Lee County Medical Society WeCare Award Recipient!
