I have noticed, in the past couple of years that nearly all of my moms who are having their babies at a hospital have been pressured or coerced into having a non medically necessary induction of their birth. They really have to stay strong in thier choice to start labor naturally. Here is proof of what I've felt .

Spontaneous labor matters. 🤍

Research continues to show what midwives have long known: when labor begins on its own and is supported physiologically, outcomes for both mothers and babies are often better.

This data highlights a powerful trend—models of care led by midwives have the highest rates of spontaneous labor and the lowest rates of intervention. When care centers on patience, trust in the body, and individualized support, birth can unfold the way it was designed to.

Let’s put to rest for good the false assumptions that bottle-feeding is “easier” for preemies than breastfeeding. Acording to this 2026 RCT, at their first feeding by mouth, preemies breastfed had measurably better oxygen levels and heart rates compared with those whose first oral feed was by bottle. I have lived Michele Odent’s work since I began my birth worker journey 18 years ago. The dim rooms, quiet, and sacred spaces we create for a mom in labor is due to his work, teaching us that when a mother feels safe, private and unobserved she can birth more easily.
A life well lived that made birth better for lives yet to come.
