✅ Florida Requirements to Drive an Ambulance
To legally operate an ambulance in the State of Florida, you only need:
1️⃣ A Valid Florida Driver’s License
Class E (regular license) is all you need.
2️⃣ An Acceptable Driving Record
No serious violations, reckless driving, or excessive points.
3️⃣ Current CPR Certification
American Heart Association or equivalent. Offered inhouse.
4️⃣ Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC)
Minimum 16-hour EVOC required (state-approved). Offered inhouse.
5️⃣ First Responder Course
Offered inhouse.
🌟 No EMT or Paramedic License Required!
(But it can lead to future advancement in EMS.)
