This week, Dr. Todd Pezzi joined an esteemed panel of healthcare professionals to discuss the use of proton therapy in treating brain tumors at the recent Minds Over Tumors Beyond the Diagnosis luncheon. 🌟

Darren Nieves of Naples started the charity Minds Over Tumors after his older sister, Andrea, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The research and support his organization gives to families facing this diagnosis is outstanding and we're grateful to get a chance to support his mission!

Yesterday we had the privilege of meeting with Kelly Sitkin, President and Chief Executive Officer & Leslie Crouch, Chief Development Officer of the American Brain Tumor Association, as well as Darren Nieves, the President and CEO of Minds Over Tumors.

We provided them with a tour of our facility, during which we learned more about the research, support, and advocacy their organizations offer to individuals facing brain tumors. We are deeply grateful for their contributions to our community and look forward to collaborating to support our patients diagnosed with brain tumors.

At Southwest Florida Proton, we are honored to support 21-year-old David Ordoñez as he bravely confronts a rare brain cancer. David is currently undergoing proton therapy with our dedicated team to battle medulloblastoma, a unique and challenging form of brain cancer.
