Meet Dr. Mark Bloomston, a surgical oncologist at the Lee Health Cancer Institute dedicated to caring for patients with complex gastrointestinal cancers and disorders. 💙

A Fort Myers native, he returned to Southwest Florida after an academic career at Ohio State University to serve the community that means so much to him.

Dr. Bloomston specializes in cancers of the pancreas, liver, stomach, colon, and esophagus, and offers advanced procedures to bring innovative cancer care close to home. He is also part of our histotripsy program — the busiest in the world — helping bring cutting-edge, non-invasive treatment options to patients right here in our community.

Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men, but it’s also highly treatable when caught early. Knowing what’s normal for your body and performing regular self-checks can make all the difference.

Signs to watch for include:
