Protecting older adults starts with awareness. If something feels off — speak up. Florida law requires anyone who suspects elder abuse, neglect, or exploitation to report it, and you don’t need proof to make a call.

If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 first.

To report concerns 24/7, contact the Florida Abuse Hotline at 1-800-962-2873 or submit a report online: https://reportabuse.myflfamilies.com/s/

Every report helps keep our seniors safe.

If you see something, say something.

🛡️ Protect your personal information from medical identity theft.
Scammers may pose as Medicare or Social Security to steal your details—but remember, they will never contact you out of the blue to ask for your Medicare or Social Security number.

If you notice suspicious calls, unexpected bills, or think someone may be using your medical information, you’re not alone. Your local Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) can help you spot, stop, and report fraud.
