The best way to describe "Why Jeeps?"
Credit to: Jason Whited from Jeep Nation.
Jeeps: They are not for everyone. Jeeps are not just cars or trucks or transportation to work, the park, the mall or the zoo. They are companions with you on a journey you only make once, regardless of how many times you go.
They bring with them a culture unlike any other. Jeepers are not just people, they are Jeeple! They help each other when one is broken. They gather by fires in places man was intended to only see on foot. When you see another Jeeper, you wave; it may be the only wave you ever get from a complete stranger. But, the wave is a sharing of commonality, an embrace by a normally stand-offish humanity.
Jeeps have won wars. They have brought food to people when there was no other way to get food. They have delivered medicine to places many will never hear of or thought could go. They have ascended mountains; carved paths where men thought they could never pass. There are more Jeep tracks carved in stone than remain of Roman chariot ruts in ancient earth.
They become you, as you become them. They are a symbol of consistency through evolution. They are evidence that we can all stay the same yet make any change we think needed. You can bling them out. You can toughen them up. You can change their attitude, as they can change yours. They are a representation of who you are, who you want to be, but always who you can be should you choose to change.
The ride is rough. The speed is slow. They lean as you turn. You have to steer them. You have to drive them. Sound familiar? It is the same as you in your walk through life.
They are Jeeps! We are Jeepers!! Together, we are a culture, a brotherhood, a sisterhood, a fraternity of similar attitudes, a society of common interest.
We are Jeeple!
