Most people don’t realize how many types of health coverage exist.

1)Medicare - for individuals at least the age of 65, individuals who have been on Social Security for at least 25 months, or individuals with ESRD

2)Under 65 private & Marketplace plans - for individuals and families who don’t qualify for Medicare or Medicaid. For individuals or families, who don’t have access to coverage through their job, or are looking for something that may be more affordable.

3)Dental & vision - not covered under medical insurance, but dental and vision care are just as important.

4)Hospital indemnity & cancer coverage - there is no such thing as a plan that pays it all. There are ancillary/supplemental benefits to help with out-of-pocket costs.

Let me reintroduce myself. My name is Rhianna Straker. I took past experience of education and working at the front desk of medical facilities, and I became a licensed health insurance agent in October 2020. It wasn’t until 2023 that I found where I need to be. I signed my contracts through Owen Insurance group. Surefire Medical Protection was born to help give me a name for myself. Education is my #1 goal! I know health insurance can be confusing, so I want to take that confusion away the best way I can. Through my fiduciary duty, I ensure that I keep my client's needs in my best interest.

Tomorrow’s Thanksgiving, and I’ve been thinking a lot about how quickly life can change — and how important it is to protect the people we love.
