🎤 Presenter Spotlight: Gabrielle Delayne

✨ Finding Capacity: Yoga as a Tool for Emotional Balance

Gabrielle Delayne, owner of Bloom Movement & Wellness, helps individuals reconnect with their bodies and nervous systems through mindful movement and accessible wellness practices.

In her experiential breakout session, Gabrielle guides participants through how yoga and breathwork can be used as practical tools to increase emotional regulation, build resilience, and expand our capacity to handle stress.

Through gentle movement, somatic practices, and guided breathwork, attendees will learn how to shift from emotional reactivity toward grounded responsiveness — tools that can be used both personally and professionally when supporting others.

Participants will leave with immediately usable strategies to support emotional balance, reduce overwhelm, and care for their nervous system in everyday life.

Instead of solving every problem, pause and ask a guiding question. Let them think, choose, and learn, even if the outcome isn’t perfect. Offer support, not control. Kids build confidence when they feel trusted to figure things out, and they still know you’re right there when they need you.

Anonymous kindness counts too. Leave a note where someone least expects it; the ripple may travel farther than you know.

We recently had the opportunity to visit Tilles Elementary, where our Darby Middle School Health Science Academy students worked with 5th graders on creating posters about emotions and emotional wellness 💙🎨

The creativity, teamwork, and thoughtful messages on their posters were incredible to see. The students were so proud of their work! Honestly, seeing their smiles and confidence is the greatest reward for all of us. Moments like these remind us why this project matters so much.

This initiative is made possible through the partnership between the School Based Health Center, Health Sciences Academy at Darby Middle School, and Arkansas Colleges of Health Education, who provide training and support to our student leaders.

We are truly grateful for the opportunity to serve our community and to watch these young learners grow both as students and as leaders.
