It is an honor to celebrate our senior citizens by dedicating a special day to their lives and impact on our community. This year we will celebrate Senior Appreciation Day on Tuesday, May 19th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Riverfront Park. Thank you to the City of Fort Smith for hosting this event. This is a free event. All Seniors in our community are welcome. If you are a facility, please consider bringing your Residents. All vendors must be members of the Senior Care Alliance.

Senior Care Alliance will be sponsoring another "Seasons' of Life" mini-conference on Saturday, April 18th from 9:30am-11:30am. First Christian Church Paris will be hosting the 2026 Seasons of Life. SCA Members are invited to provide a vendor table for information to attendees. Attendees will all receive SCA Resource Directory and multiple speakers will be providing a brief explanation of their level of care. There will be a limited number of speakers & vendor table space available. If you are interested, please send an email to info@arseniorcarealliance.org.

Sweet Connections on March 10th at the Fort Smith Senior Center Cavanaugh. Thank you to Wendy Davis, Joshua Robertson and James from the Fort Smith Utility Department for providing a presentation on the services available to our community. Project Concern can provide 50% off water, 50% off sewer and 25% off sanitation for qualifying residential homes. Do you have on-line bill pay "Pay Fort Smith"?

Thank you to the Fort Smith Senior Center for hosting. Attendees enjoy cookies provided by Senior Care Alliance along with bags filled with community resources. Many Senior Care Alliance members attended, provided door prizes and shared resource information.

Take this opportunity to be in front of our community Seniors, providing a resource and enjoy some networking time. Our goal is to help our community caregivers and Seniors navigate healthcare. Learn how seniors in our community can qualify for a discount on their water utility bills. Bring a door prize to be given away and your organization information to be dropped in the Senior Care Alliance bags to be given to attendees.

February Senior Care Alliance General Meeting was held this week. If you missed it, plan to attend the March General Meeting. Always great speakers with informative presentations.

Thank you to Reynolds Cancer Support House for hosting the location. We were honored to have guests that attend events at the Reynolds Center.

Kelsey Sallee, APRN from BHC Insurance was our guest speaker. Thank you, Kelsey, for a wonderful presentation about risk management. Kelsey talked about many levels of risk management from building to personal insurance including 'documentation'.
