Saint Mary’s Regional Health and Pope County EMS teamed up and came to Bost ADDT today as part of our Community Outreach Program, where they shared important information about emergency preparedness and life‑saving actions. They highlighted the importance of calling 911, staying calm, and answering the dispatcher’s questions clearly. We also learned how to check whether a person is breathing and when to begin chest compressions if they are not. The EMS team also told us about the LUCAS 3 device and explained how it works to provide automated chest compressions during cardiac emergencies. In addition, they gave us a tour of the ambulance and took time to answer all of our questions. A huge thank‑you to Saint Mary’s Regional Health and Pope County EMS for joining us today and sharing such important and helpful information!
