Here’s the gobblin’ truth! 🦃 No turkeys were harmed in the making of today’s masterpieces in the activity room… though a few glue sticks did meet an unfortunate end!

Our residents turned into true Turkey Artists—coloring, gluing, and giggling their way through a feathery good time. 🎨🍁 They colored turkey bodies and then got to work giving them fabulous fall leaf tail feathers worthy of a runway show!

Let’s just say… if there were an award for “Best Dressed Bird,” our flock would gobble up the competition! 🏆🦃

Veterans Day Celebration at Brooken Hill

We respectfully invite you to join us on Tuesday, November 11th at 11:00 a.m. as we come together to honor and celebrate our Veterans — the brave men and women who have served our country with courage, dedication, and love.

Join us in the Activities Room for cake and punch as we share stories, express our gratitude, and pay tribute to those who have protected our freedom.

Let us stand united in appreciation for our heroes — past and present. All are welcome to attend and take part in this special day of remembrance and recognition.

Brooken Hill Thx-givin’ Parade Challenge!

Picture this… our residents sitting cozy in their chairs, a warm blanket on their lap, a drink in hand, gazing out the window or watching TV.

Sounds peaceful, right? Maybe even a little… boring Monday afternoon!

Now—imagine that same scene, but suddenly the halls come alive! The smell of fresh popcorn drifts through the air, laughter echoes from every corner, and music gets toes tapping and smiles spreading.

That’s the magic we’re bringing to life at our Brooken Hill Thx-givin’ Parade — happening Monday, November 24th at 2 PM!

We’re calling on all staff to accept the challenge!
Grab a cart, red wagon, wheelchair, trash can on wheels — whatever you’ve got! Then deck it out in your most fun and festive Thanksgiving décor.

Wear a funny inflatable costume, dress up as clowns, or come in seasonal, turkey-day style outfits — the sillier, brighter, and more creative, the better!

Let your creativity roll (literally)! Big hats, bold colors, feathers, lights — bring the laughs and the joy. Let’s make this parade one our residents will never forget!

Happy November from Brooken Hill!

The air is crisp, the leaves are falling, and our hearts are full of gratitude here at Brooken Hill! This month, we’re celebrating the season of thankfulness with cozy activities, warm treats, and plenty of time spent together. We invite you and your loved ones to join us anytime — there’s always something special happening!

Here’s a peek at what’s filling our week with fall fun:

🍂 Sunday: Kick back and relax with the Football Game on TV at 11:00, enjoy a cozy Word Search at 2:00, and unwind with Adult Coloring Pages at 4:00.

🍁 Monday: Sip something sweet during Mocktail Monday at 11:00, play a lively round of Bingo at 2:00, then share your gratitude in our “I’m Thankful” Game at 4:00.

🍂 Tuesday: Treat yourself to Fancy Nails at 11:00, then join us for Word Search at 1:30, Gossip Hour at 2:00, and meaningful One-on-Ones at 4:00.

🍁 Wednesday: A perfect midweek pick-me-up — Bingo at 11:00, Warm Cookie Wednesday at 1:30 in the 900 Pod, Church with Rocky at 2:30, and a relaxing Read a Good Book at 4:00.

🍂 Thursday: Get crafty with a Turkey Craft at 11:00, then enjoy Read a Good Book at 1:30, our “I’m Thankful” Game at 2:00, and Resident Choice at 4:00.

🍁 Friday: Start your day with Coffee & Donuts at 10:30, catch up during Gossip Hour at 11:00, play Bingo at 2:00, and end the afternoon with thoughtful One-on-Ones at 4:00.

🍂 Saturday: Wind down the week with Read a Good Book at 11:00, cheer on your team during the Football Game at 2:00, and enjoy a peaceful Adult Coloring Session at 4:00.

🎃👻 A Spooktacular Day of Fun at Brooken Hill! Photos group 2 👻🎃

Today, our residents celebrated in frightfully festive style from dawn till dusk! We kicked off the day with a Chili Cook-Off that brought the heat — and plenty of flavor! From hot and spicy to mild and savory, even a little deer chili made an appearance in the cauldrons. Our talented staff truly brewed up their best creations. 🏆 Congratulations to Julie Sharp, our Chili Champion, for taking home the crown (and the bragging rights)! *** unfortunately we were so busy enjoying all the wonderful chilies that nobody captured any pictures***

As the afternoon crept in, cheerful visitors filled our halls, spreading holiday spirit and spooky smiles. Then, the adorable little monsters from Grace Place Daycare paraded through the building in their cutest costumes. 🎭 Our residents and staff handed out candy as giggles, excitement, and the patter of little feet echoed down the halls — it was pure Halloween magic! 🍬

As the sun set and the moon rose high, we turned down the lights for our Adults-Only After Glow Party! 🌙✨ The night came alive with glowing punch, blinking cotton candy, delicious cake from Harps Food Store #174, and plenty of popcorn for snacking. Residents waved fiber optic wands and light-up batons, filling the room with laughter and shimmering light.

From spooky to sweet, it was a boo-tiful day filled with fun, friendship, and glowing memories! 💀🕸️

🎭✨ A Masquerade Celebration at Brooken Hill! ✨🎭

This afternoon, the halls of Brooken Hill Health & Rehab were filled with mystery and charm as we donned our glittering masks and gathered to celebrate our October Birthdays in true masquerade fashion! 💫

Residents enjoyed a decadent marbled cake from Harps Food Stores #174 — shimmering with elegance — and sipped on a mystical blend of grape juice and cherry Coke fit for a royal ball. 🍰🥂

Each guest was greeted with their own mask and strands of black and gold beads, setting the stage for an afternoon of sparkle, laughter, and celebration. Behind every mask was a smile, and together we made memories worthy of a grand masquerade! 💛🖤🎉
