🦋 January is Thyroid Awareness Month

Your thyroid may be small, but it plays a big role in your overall health, helping regulate energy, metabolism, heart rate, and body temperature.

Why awareness matters:
⚠️ About 20 million Americans have thyroid disease
⚠️ Up to 60% don’t know they have it
⚠️ Women are 5–8 times more likely than men to be affected
(Source: American Thyroid Association)

Common symptoms can include fatigue, weight changes, mood changes, hair thinning, or feeling unusually cold or hot. Because symptoms are often subtle, thyroid issues can go undiagnosed for years.

👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️The good news? A simple blood test can help detect thyroid problems early. If something feels “off,” don’t ignore it, talk with your provider.
