🧩 Today in OT, we used a hands-on, structured building activity to target executive functioning, visual–motor, and fine motor skills.

🔴⚪ The Task:
The child threaded red and white, vertebrae-shaped beads onto a pipe cleaner and secured both ends to complete a model.

🧠 Executive Function Skills Addressed:
• Planning and organization (creating a list before starting 📝)
• Time management (setting and monitoring a timer ⏱️)
• Task initiation and follow-through
• Working memory (remembering steps and patterns)
• Self-monitoring and problem-solving 💡

✋👀 Visual–Motor (VM) and Fine Motor (FM) Demands:
• Bilateral coordination
• Visual tracking and alignment
• Precision grasp and finger isolation
• Hand strength and control 💪
• Eye–hand coordination

🔁 Skill Carryover:
These skills support participation in everyday activities such as:
• Following multi-step directions
• Completing tasks independently
• Organizing materials and workspace 🗂️
• Managing time during academic and daily routines
• Improving handwriting, cutting, and tool use ✏️✂️
• Building frustration tolerance and flexibility

🌟 This activity helps translate therapy-based skills into functional independence across environments.
