Learning can get a little messy—and we love it! 🧼✍️

In OT, we use sensory activities like shaving cream to help kids see their movements as they draw lines and write letters. Being able to clearly see what they create helps build understanding of line direction, letter formation, and early writing skills—all while having fun!

Healing and Supportive Play for Neurodivergent Children

Join us Tuesday, February 10th at 5:30pm at the Main Library for a powerful and practical evening designed to support and empower parents.

This session will be facilitated by Jennifer Davis, LPC — counselor and mother of a son with a neurodivergent diagnosis. Jennifer brings both lived experience and professional expertise, offering parents tools that are grounded in compassion, understanding, and real life.

Play is not just fun — it is communication. It is regulation. It is connection. And for neurodivergent children, supportive play can be a bridge to healing, confidence, and growth.

This evening will equip parents with strategies to:
• Connect more deeply through play
• Support regulation and emotional safety
• Strengthen resilience in their children

Erica recently traveled to California to complete the SOS Feeding Training Course, a specialized program focused on supporting children with feeding challenges. This extra step shows her dedication to growing professionally and her passion for providing great care to the kids and families we serve. We’re so proud of the time and effort she continues to put into her work.
