I'm a professionally trained Licensed Massage Therapist, Yoga Therapist/Instructor, Reiki Practitioner, & Certified Nutritional Consultant. BUT...more importantly, I'm someone who lived too many years conforming to ideas of what I thought I should be doing and what I perceived others thought I should be doing with my life and with my career. As a result, for a long time, my personal life felt like something was missing. My career life in the corporate world was lifeless and meaningless.
I began my holistic career journey in 2001, completing my first 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Christopher Baxter, a founding member of Kripalu Yoga Center. In 2003, I discovered Thai Yoga Massage and I absolutely loved it! I then completed a Thai Massage certification program at Kripalu under the guidance of Jonas Westring, owner of Shantaya Yoga & Bodywork School.
From 2003-2010, I completed other holistic training courses that included Reiki, nutrition, another YTT with Doug Swenson, and various mind/body courses.
During this time, I had been teaching yoga and providing Thai massage to clients on a part-time basis, as I was also working full time for the US Court of Appeals.
In 2013, at the age of 50, I decided to leave my position with the courts to travel to various places in the world and further my education in Massage, Yoga & Meditation so that I could make my living doing the holistic practices that had become an integral part of my life. (Who says old dogs can't learn new tricks?)
I traveled to Costa Rica where I graduated from The Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy. My training there included a variety of massage modalities such as neuromuscular therapy techniques, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, deep tissue, hydrotherapy, Oncology Massage and traditional Swedish Massage.
I traveled onward to Thailand where I did an in depth study of Thai massage spending 3 months there and graduating from the Thai Massage School of Chiang Mai (TMC). There, I completed a 300 hour certified Thai Massage Teacher Training course.
My love of holistic healing modalities grew stronger, taking me to Northern India where I spent 2 months living in the Indian culture and graduated from Rishikesh Yog Peeth, completing a 300 hour yoga teacher training which included Ayurveda & Yoga Therapy.
In, 2017, I went back to India and completed a Meditation Teacher Training. My traveling & training didn't stop there! In 2016, I traveled to Puerto Rico to do a Neuromuscular Therapy course training under the guidance of Judith Delany from the NeuroMuscular Therapy (NMT) Center.
After years of training with other like-minded experts, I‘ve learned to share my experience through a combination of service and education. I’m a passionate therapist with an alternative approach, and I’m dedicated to helping my clients move through a wide range of physical, emotional, and spiritual transitions in the most efficient and transformative way possible.
I believe we all come to this world with innate talents and there are endless possibilities to what we can do with the life we’ve been given, if we learn to trust our instincts and find the courage to move beyond the obstacles and "boxed" thinking that many of us have grown accustomed to and believing.
Yoga, meditation & bodywork are treasured tools which helped me to step out of my fears that kept me hostage to an unfulfilled life, and to uncover my own distinctive talents. My hope is that you too will find the tools to re-member you again & find what it is that makes you feel truly alive!
November 1, 2018, I will open my new office in Ft. Thomas, KY! I will be offering massage therapy, small yoga classes, private yoga lessons, Mediation and Silver Sneakers Fitness classes.
