We hope everyone has a fun and safe Trick or Treating experience! Here are some Halloween safety tips to help create foster a smooth evening for your child and your family!

· Prepare ahead! Provide your child with social stories prior to the night of trick or treating!
· Practice, Practice, Practice! Role play, teach appropriate greetings, and use an AAC device if needed!
· Use identification bracelets
· Provide your child with costumes that have comfortable clothing
· Provide your child with a blue pumpkin
· Go at your own pace! Check your child’s candy prior to them eating their goodies!

Natural Environment training can include using a child’s favorite book, bubbles or preferred toys!

When teaching skills that are in familiar environments to the child, they are more likely going to meet the natural reinforcement they will experience inside and out of their aba sessions!

NET should feel natural and fun to the learner!
