On Monday, February 16, 2026, We hosted the Eglin Air Force Base Security Forces Unit to say goodbye to SSgt Ryan A. Privett at Emerald Coast Funeral Home. The funeral coach, with family following departed the funeral home headed to Lucedale, MS for his final journey, on the way at the Florida/Alabama state line the funeral coach had a blowout tire.

❤️Special thanks to our Crematory Operator who was driving the funeral coach for taking control of the situation. Thank you Tyler Retzloff for your quick thinking and expertise in taking care of our families in time of need.

It is with great honor and respect that we would like to give a shout out to the Alabama State Troopers (Trooper Peoples), Baldwin County Sheriff’s office and of course the Rosinton Fire/Rescue crew and their families for all their care and support during a dignified transport of one of our fallen soldiers and brethren. During transport the hearse was met with an unexpected blow out crossing the Florida/ Alabama state line.

Through great care and compassion, as well as swift action, they came together and assisted us and the family in getting back on the road, providing safety while repairs were made. Afterwards we were left with a heartfelt, personal, and beautiful sendoff of sirens and es**rt back on our journey.

In acts like these, it truly shows that family and community are far reaching and that in the act of our service, no heart goes untouched. May we all be reminded of the impact that we have on our communities all over the world as well as their impact on us each and every day. ❤️
