🌽 NEW VENDOR SPOTLIGHT: Arrant Farm 🌽

We’re thrilled to welcome Arrant Farm to The Downtown Pantry!

Arrant Farm is a small family farm rooted in the historic Arrant Settlement in northwest Holmes County. The Arrant family has been farming this land for more than a century—growing peanuts, corn, soybeans, pecans, peaches, and a variety of vegetables. For over 40 years, their farm was also home to a commercial poultry operation.

One of the farm’s most cherished traditions is its heirloom white corn, a seed passed down through generations. This same corn is handpicked, shucked, inspected, and stone-ground into the rich, flavorful grits and cornmeal now available at The Downtown Pantry. After decades of enjoying these grits at their own family table, the Arrants decided in 2024 to share them with the community through markets and festivals—and now, with us!

This year, three generations of Arrants worked together on the harvest, ensuring every bag reflects the quality and care their family is known for.

And if you’ve heard of “Mrs. Arrant’s cakes and pies,” you already know the family’s cooking heritage runs deep. At 93 years old, she still loves baking and sharing her sweets with friends and family. ❤️

We’re proud to bring their legacy, tradition, and truly delicious products to our shelves.
