Before you commit to a Clinical Fellowship, take a closer look at what’s actually being offered. 👇
A lot of CF roles promise “support", but what does that actually look like day to day?
Here’s what you should be looking for:
✔️ A mentor who’s trained and chosen for you, not randomly assigned
✔️ Support beyond the minimum ASHA requirements (not just check-ins to sign off hours)
✔️ Access to multiple clinical leaders when you’re stuck, not just one point of contact
✔️ Real opportunities to build skills in specialty areas like AAC or feeding
✔️ Structured time to collaborate with other CFs, not figuring it out alone
At Nyman, we’ve built our CF experience around these exact things:
• Individualized mentor matching + trained mentors
• 3+ layers of clinical support (Mentor, Clinical Manager/Lead, Clinical Director)
• AAC & School Dysphagia/Feeding Resource Teams
• In-person onboarding + ongoing CF Community of Practice
Because your CF shouldn’t feel like you’re on your own.
If you’re exploring CF opportunities, feel free to reach out. We’re happy to walk you through what this actually looks like. 💬
