When things happen in our lives that are hard and painful, it is easy to fall into the dark places. But growth doesn’t come in comfort. Growth comes in pain. Avoiding discomfort by keeping things fixed leads to stagnancy and stuckness. “The wound is the place where the light enters you.”

I won this hygge basket at my kid’s school fair today. I think it was a sign from the universe to practice what I preach. Thanks universe and Jtown… I needed some hygge in my life for sure. Hope there’s some hygge in your life this weekend as well.

Make sure there is both empathy and accountability in your therapy sessions. Empathy + accountability = compassion. Safety cannot be obtained without empathy, but change cannot be made without accountability. If your therapy is lacking either, talk to your therapist and be open with them about your goals.
