Body By Tosha BBT Fitness Haven [BodyByTosha] is a Indoor Cycling and Personal training Studio located in Fort Washington Md. www.bodybytosha.com Why I Wanted To Get In Shape?

Enough was just enough for me. I wanted a lifestyle change rather than a quick fix. For the most part, I've always been successful in just about everything I've decided to do. However, the weight seemed to have control, literally. I found myself doing extra to compensate for the weight gain. Until I said, Okay something has to give. Get control of yourself, and that's when I considered Gastric bypass. After going to the orientation, I was like whoaaaa, that's pretty evasive surgery. I was under 35 years old and had never had surgery of any kind. However, I had to do something and continued in the process of the six-month weight management requirement, which included visiting a nutritionist once a month for six months. I promised myself and God that I would try to lose the weight without the surgery during the six month time period. Needless to say I was scared straight! I started to do little by little, I’d never been on any kind of exercise program, and diets – you could forget it. I ate what I wanted to eat and when I wanted to eat it (late night snacking is the worst). But this time was life or death for me…. I meant business—I took back CONTROL over that area of my life. One step at a time…. I started exercising; I began to cut back on how much I ate and lessened my Pepsi intake day by day. Week after week, my old bad eating habits and lack of exercise changed gradually. And yes the results begin to roll in. Every month during my visits with the nutritionist she’d say "you've lost more weight?!?!?! And finally she mentioned that if I lost a few more pounds I would no longer be eligible for surgery. Well, I didn’t have Gastric Bypass and have lost over 90 pounds and counting….. YOU can too! To God be all the GLORY

Just ASK.

You don’t have what you want because you’re afraid to ask. You’re afraid of the possibiity of no (perceived rejection) so you settle for not asking. Don’t!

If they say no. Appeal it. You can’t go no lower than no. 🤷🏾‍♀️

You have everything to gain, nothing to lose.

Just ASK! GO!!!

If you don’t have disposable cash you shouldn’t be ordering DoorDash (or any delivery service) right now.

Your extra is being dissolved in convience that you shouldn’t be participating in at the moment.

Check your priorities and then Givern yourself accordingly.

“I Got you.”

Sometimes you have people that don’t have themselves. Let them nutcrackers go.

I’m laughing , yet, I mean it on purpose (in the words of the Great one, my dad - Lawyer Mayo).

Sometimes the delay is a necessary detour. Don’t be so committed to having it your way.

Rest in every delay being in your favor, while advocating for self preservation. The outcome is not your responsibility; therefore, don’t be tethered to it.

Do the work neccesary. But don’t over-ride provision.

Declare: Every delay is in my favor.

Identify Vs. Identity

You can identify with something without it being your identity.

This week I was listening to a podcast short where they mentioned that studies show that parents of children with special needs have the stress level of combat soilders.

Immediately I could identify with that AND immediately I decreed that would NoT be my identity.

You see, because something may be true it doesn’t have to be your truth.

I saw the exposure of that study as opportunity to shift/dismantle the narrative.

Confession without consistent regulation is like wishing if you drink water you won’t be dehydrated.

The body keeps score. Even if you aren’t. Be present with stress receptors.

If we took the time and effort to tend to our inconsistencies and misaligned disciplines we’d had no time to tend to others.

Getting involved - giving your two-cents about other people business is trending topics about other people business is WILD and WACK to me, especially knowing that folk got their own issues that need TLC.

Enough already with OPB (Other People Business) and JYJ (Judge your Judgement) in accordance with your own personal negligence.

HE who is without inconsistencies cast the first stone on THAT. Not everything and everybody else.

How many of yall say: “Like I said” when you mean exactly what you said? I got my hands raised too.

Here’s the blessing + the curse in those words.

They work both ways (+ & -). Be veryyyy MINDFUL when you say “Like I said” because whatever follows it is EXACTLY what it will manifest.

For example:
“Nobody is ever there for me when I need them”.
Well YOU said it, with so definitively that it has no choice but to manifest - because the PoWER of what you say doesn’t know to filter what you mean. SELAh!

You have to SAY exactly what you mean when you say “LIKE I SAID”. Check that. And say what you want - accurately.

Got it. Good. Now Go to the comments and reframe a “ LIKE I SAID” statement to align with what you want.

OVERSPENDING reveals that you’re wasteful, have no discipline and lack self control.

Let’s chat about it.

Can we normalize stopping over-spending just because you have it doesn’t mean you need to spend it.

Years ago, I created a shopping discipline for me that serves me today this day and I’m constantly sharpening it.

My rule for purchasing anything is how soon will I use it? If I don’t have a definitive answer to use it with two-weeks I don’t buy it. Also, when purging my closet, I ask myself: would you but this now. If not, donate. If so, how soon will you wear it. Again, if it’s not within two-weeks. I purge it. Ain’t nobody got time for unnecessary stuff.

Having stuff in your closet with tags on it is not impressive. It’s exposure that you’re wasteful and not a good steward. Wow .

Disruptive right?

Yep. It’s the truth and the truth ALWAYS set me free. I dont play games with my legacy.

Legacy of Stewardship. Operating in Wealthy Wisdom.

Now that you recognized yourself in this message Do BETTER and create some healthy disciplines for yourself. Share your purging pledge by commenting here. Speaking it is the first step to clearing it.

“I wish you would” is another statement that needs addressing + a ReFresh to ReSet default responses.

Some things you don’t want to WISH. Be careful with what you welcome in your words of “WISHING”. Selah! “I Wish you would” is casual communication in most cases; but it’s also careless and invitational when used without thinking about what you’re actually saying.

The next time. Well, before the next time let’s re-design our words of wishing to be complimentary not conflicting.

Got it? Good. Now that you have that disruptive clarity, practice by COMMENTING below (I’d love to hear your practice). Reframe a non complimentive “I wish you would” to a cultivating covenant compliment to what you really wish. Don’t waste your wish on reckless-ness.

It’s okay to acknowledge the truth and not settle for it.

Acknowledgment is not agreement.

It’s awareness. SEE the truth, then SHIFT it. Pretending it ain’t real is WACK and DELU-LU.

Acknowledge it and REFUSE to let it RULE you (ruling requires permission - access deny that foolishness.)

You see, Faith is NOT the absence of truth. Faith is the POWER to SEE a thing and MOVE in thee ABSOLUTE TRUTH that what showed up as opposition is ACTUALLY opportunity hidden in plain view. SELAH!!!!

SEE it differently. Proceed accordingly. Got it? Now GO.

Don’t get so stuck in what was that you stunt what is.

What happened is history made.
What you do today becomes history in the making. Selah!

Better is not behind you. It’s ahead of you. Move accordingly.
