Why does that old pain still hurt?!?!
Your body may still be protecting you from something that is already over.
When we get injured, go through surgery, experience stress, or live through a difficult season, the body naturally tightens to protect itself.
Thatβs a good thing. It helps us escape immediate danger. But it doesnβt help us heal.
And then, the protective pattern never fully turns off.
Fascia β the connective tissue that wraps around every muscle and organ β can stay tightened long after the original event has passed.
So even when life is calmer, your body may still be holding onto that old tension.
This is one of the reasons people say things like:
βI stretch all the time but it still feels tight.β
βMy pain keeps coming back.β
βSomething just feels stuck.β
Myofascial Release works slowly with the fascial system so that it can change the structure of those old protective patterns.
When that happens, people often notice:
β’ easier breathing
β’ less pulling or pressure in the body
β’ deeper relaxation
β’ a sense that their body finally let go
And then: Less Pain!
Sometimes the body just needs the right kind of time and pressure to remember that itβs safe again.
