Almost 10 years ago, AID of Indiana was founded in Fort Wayne with the goal of providing quality-driven residential and community programs for individuals with intellectual / developmental disabilities.
Joy Booth was a nurse for many years, and dreamt of what a disability support provider could be if it was built around the idea of not just providing support to the indiviudals in its care, but also supporting and caring about the caregivers themselves.
In 2016, with the support of her family, she decided to make it happen. That's when AID was born, and since then we've grown to support close to 40 homes and over 500 employees. It hasn't always been easy, but we grew with every challenge, learned from every mistake, and plan on making the next 10 years even better.
