Less Talk More Touch was such a beautiful reminder of what happens when we slow down.

Five partners.
Phones down.
Shoulders soft.
Breath steady.

Just learning how to be fully present with someone you care about through gentle, supported touch and simple stretches. No fixing. No performing. Just connection.

Holly did a phenomenal job guiding everyone into safety, softness, and ease. You could feel the nervous systems settling across the room.

Huge thank you to Swizzle Market for the non-alcoholic champagne and blueberry elixir — such a fun and thoughtful addition to the evening 🫶

Moments like this are why I love what we’re building at The Pillar.

Yesterday we had the privilege of partnering with School Care Team at DeKalb Middle School.

With no students in the building, teachers were able to exhale. They gathered for lunch, created art, spent time with kittens and puppies, had quiet space to read and stepped onto their mats for yoga. Space to soften. Space to reconnect. Space to be cared for.

Supporting the nervous systems of the people who hold so much for our children is not a luxury — it’s essential.

So grateful for Adriana for joining me and for the School Care Team in DeKalb for making teacher mental health a priority through their grants. This kind of support ripples far beyond one afternoon.

Sometimes what we really want isn’t advice.
It isn’t solutions.
It isn’t someone telling us to calm down.
What we want is to be understood.
This Sunday at The Weave (1–3 PM), we’re exploring what it means to truly attune — to feel seen in our emotions and to offer that same presence to someone else.
When we’re overwhelmed, it’s often not because the feeling is “too big”…
It’s because we’re alone in it.
Attunement is the quiet moment when someone says,
“I see you.”
“I understand.”
“I’m here.”
And we begin to settle.
We’ll gently explore how our brains are wired for connection — how we mirror, synchronize, and co-regulate — not as clinical concepts, but as real, embodied experiences.
No fixing.
No analyzing.
Just practicing being human together.

We’re moving the Re-Humanizing Project to next Sunday to create more space for this conversation.
This upcoming circle centers on racism — not as a debate, but as an invitation to slow down and look honestly at the ways dehumanization lives within our conditioning, our nervous systems, and the larger structures around us.
This work asks for presence, courage, and care.
It asks us to sit with discomfort, listen deeply, and remember our shared humanity — especially where it has been denied or erased.
We want to hold this conversation in a way that feels spacious, grounded, and well-supported, and allowing more time felt like the most aligned choice.

On Tuesday, we had the honor of hosting the Center for Nonviolence at The Pillar.
It was a powerful, grounding experience—one that invited reflection, presence, and deeper connection with ourselves and each other.

Spaces like this matter. Learning how to pause, listen, regulate, and respond with intention is essential—not just individually, but collectively.

Deep gratitude to School Care Team for making this possible through their grants. Your commitment to resourcing care, education, and nervous system–aware spaces continues to ripple outward in meaningful ways.

Thank you to everyone who showed up with openness and curiosity. This is how change happens—quietly, relationally, together.

Our world today is saturated with the dehumanization of others.
The Re-Humanizing Project is a space to slow down and look honestly at how dehumanization lives not only “out there” — but within our own conditioning, nervous systems, and subconscious patterns.
This circle is co-facilitated by Kami Neff, a journalist who has spent years studying ongoing genocides and crimes against humanity, and Josh King, who is pursuing his Master’s degree in Peace & Justice.
Together, we explore:
– how dehumanization shows up within ourselves
– how we’ve become passive to the suffering of others and our own
– how reclaiming shared humanity begins with awareness, presence, and courage
This is not a debate.
This is not about having the right words.
It is a space of curiosity, openness, and kindness — where we sit with discomfort, tend to our own shadows, and begin to remember what it means to be human together.

This morning was such a soft place to land.
Quiet. Spacious. Full — in that gentle, nourishing way.

So grateful for the way sound holds us and helps the nervous system exhale.
