This year’s Social Work Month theme honors the core mission of the profession: to enhance human well-being, meet basic human needs, and empower those who are vulnerable, oppressed, or living in poverty.
In a time of cultural, political, and economic division, social workers are needed more than ever. From supporting mental health and advocating for voting rights to strengthening Medicare and Medicaid protections, social workers are on the front lines—uplifting individuals, defending human dignity, and transforming communities.
With more than 810,000 social workers across the country, this fast-growing profession serves veterans, families, children, older adults, and individuals facing mental health challenges. At Eleos Hospice Care, our social workers walk alongside patients and families during life’s most vulnerable moments—providing guidance, advocacy, and compassionate support.
This month, we celebrate the social workers who uplift, defend, and transform every day. Thank you for being a powerful force for good. 💙
