🦷🐾 It’s Dental Health Month!
Dental disease is one of the most common health issues we see in pets, and most dogs and cats show signs by age 3. It often starts quietly, but over time it can lead to pain, infection, tooth loss, and even problems affecting the heart, kidneys, and liver.
Professional dental cleanings allow us to remove plaque and tartar below the gumline, evaluate painful or damaged teeth, and take dental X-rays to catch problems we can’t see on the surface. Sometimes extractions are necessary to remove infected or painful teeth and improve your pet’s comfort and overall health.
Dental care isn’t cosmetic, it’s an important part of keeping your pet healthy and feeling their best. If you have questions about your pet’s teeth or think they may be due for a dental evaluation, we’re happy to help. 💙🐶🐱
