Karla Alexander is a C-IAYT Yoga Therapist, Ayurveda Wellness Counselor and End of Life Doula. Private consultations, group classes and seminars available.

Group classes are offered, check the events to see current schedule. These healing modalities all work on the basis of recognizing the individual and working to use tools that help people build awareness and find healing and balance at all levels of their being. These therapies are effective in addressing many issues including but not limited to anxiety, stress, high blood pressure, weight loss, trauma/PTSD, IBS, and headaches. These therapies are intended to work as a compliment to traditional western medicine and therapies. Per clients interest and willingness, tools can include: Yoga Asana (movement), Pranayama (breathing), Mudras, Mantra, Food as medicine, Lifestyle adjustments, herbs, and cleansing rituals among other options. Our focus for this sound bath is working with the Direction West…taking stock of where we have been, where we are, and where we are going. What do we need? What no longer serves us? What needs to shift?…questions to consider as we consider ways to express our authenticity. It’s time to lighten our “packs” so we can follow the proverbial Popcorn Trail as we prepare the descent into Winter, the Dream Time.

We will bring the Drums, Rattles, Gongs, Singing Bowls and Chimes to help move you into that state of in between sleep and awake to access the power of the unconscious, healing and awareness.

YOU CAN BRING…
Your open heart and mind
Intentions
Yoga mat or blanket
Pillow for your head
Support for under your knees (pillow, bolster, rolled up blanket)
Eye covering (optional)
Water bottle. (Water only in the space)

There’s still space in the Stress and Anxiety Series that begins this Thursday!

Each week we will explore different tools to help build awareness around how the mind, breath and body are connected and then consciously release tension using different breathing techniques, movement, visualization, guided relaxation and intention.

No yoga experience needed. Chairs will available if you prefer to practice seated.
