When I got there, Karen had the tub ready to go and had a calming demeanor which made me feel safe to give birth. I am thankful for my care throughout my whole pregnancy and birth with FMCC."

Join our team!⁠ We are seeking individuals who have a passion for natural birth and ideally work history as a Labor & Delivery RN or NICU RN. Nurses join the midwife as birth approaches and stay throughout the 6-hour postpartum stay. Our nurses are an essential part of our HFBC family providing labor support, emergency care, postpartum support and guidance, and breastfeeding assistance.⁠

Specific job requirements include:⁠
- Able to pick up 3 twelve-hour call shifts per month⁠
- Availability to arrive at our facility within 30 minutes of a call⁠
- RN with experience in Labor & Delivery or NICU⁠ is preferred but open to considering experience in other specialties and new grads⁠

His mother kindly shared, "Elijah was caught by his father in the van on the way to the birth center! We then drove to HFBC, and Karen helped me deliver my placenta and do all of my postpartum care and check on the baby, who was doing beautifully!"

Our first child was born at DuPont Hospital but this time we decided to try the Holy Family Birthing Center, and we could not have asked for a greater experience! Fun fact: Both of our children were all natural births and ironically enough, they share a birthday exactly 2 years apart! Thank you FMCC/HFBC for all you continue to do for our family.
