The Towne House residents had a wild time today! We were thrilled to welcome Mark’s Ark for a special visit, where we got up close and personal with a variety of amazing animals. From curious critters to scaly friends, there was so much to learn and plenty of smiles to go around!

A big thank you to Mark’s Ark for bringing such a fun and educational experience to our community!

Here is a great example of what Indiana University aims to do with its Day of Service, turn school pride into something tangible for the community. Helping the Towne House Garden Club with herb and flower beds might sound simple, but these kinds of projects make shared spaces more welcoming and can have lasting impact, especially for residents who enjoy or rely on those gardens.

Events like IU Day of Service also tend to build connections across generations. Students, alumni, and local community members working side by side rather than staying in separate circles. It’s one of the more practical ways universities show their footprint beyond campus.

You are never too old to make your voice heard.

Yesterday, dedicated voter registration volunteers helped Health and Rehab Center residents cast their votes—proving that civic engagement has no age limit. Every vote matters, and it’s inspiring to see our community come together to ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate.

The Towne House recently hosted our annual library open house, giving residents a chance to explore all the wonderful resources and services available to them. From discovering new books to learning about programs and support offered, it was a great opportunity to connect, ask questions, and make the most of everything our library provides. Thank you to everyone who joined us—we love seeing our community come together!

These pictures are from our craft class yesterday, where the ladies created this beautiful little decoupage boxes adorned with butterflies.

They had such a wonderful time bringing their creative ideas to life, and it truly shows in their work! Each box turned out unique and full of charm.

Donna Hess and Shirley Hively are pictured here proudly showing off their lovely creations. Great job, ladies!

It was a wonderful evening filled with fun and gratitude alongside the Purdue Mastodons, celebrating all they’ve contributed to our community this year. A heartfelt shout-out to the graduating seniors - you’ll be missed!
We enjoyed a delicious dessert bar and meaningful moments connecting, as teammates, coaches, and residents shared stories and experiences together. Truly a special night!

You’re never too old to sing your heart out!

Our residents had an absolute blast at Karaoke Night—voices raised, spirits high, and smiles all around! With a glass of wine or a good old-fashioned beer in hand, everyone enjoyed a night filled with music from every genre.

The highlight? A full-room singalong where all 41 residents joined in together—now that’s what we call harmony!

It was the perfect musical evening to relax, laugh, and have a whole lot of fun. We can’t wait to do it again!

A resident from our Retirement Center sat down with one resident in our Health and Rehabilitation Center and simply shared a song, just one voice, one guitar, and one listening heart.

In that moment, something beautiful happened. A familiar tune brought comfort, connection, and a sense of calm. It’s a reminder that even the simplest acts of kindness can carry so much meaning for both the one giving and the one receiving.

We are so grateful for the generosity and talent within our Towne House community, and for the many ways our residents continue to share joy with one another.
