We put off change because it's scary. We also think in time, things will get better, or we'll feel more ready.
But you are as ready as you'll ever be. If you weren't, you wouldn't keep having that nagging thought "I just need to ask for help." You wouldn't be daydreaming of what it will be like when you get off of this merry-go-round of chaos, pain and hustle. There isn't a better time than right now. This is your sign to seize the life that's meant for you! You are worth it!!

Community Outreach Coordinator, Zach Dawson was a speaker at today’s RemedyLIVE’s “Wired Experience” for Building Contractors Association of Northeast Indiana-BCA. Zach was joined by Jeremy McClish, VP of Crosswinds Counseling, and together they discussed all aspects of mental health awareness, dual diagnoses for substance abuse, life experiences, and knowing all about EAPs. RemedyLIVE does an incredible presentation using interactive polling to help share the importance of mental health and a “How Are You Really?” culture in the workplace!

Did you know…
“Not succeeding” does not equal failure.
Not TRYING = failure.
All the “not succeeding” is just learning. It’s just knowledge. No book is going to teach you as much as actually TRYING. Let this be your reminder to embrace failure. It’s just building knowledge and experience to get up and try again.

Such an important part of addiction recovery is COMMUNITY, plain and simple. We all need a space where you feel empowered to remove the mask, let our walls down, and be completely honest about our addiction, while feeling seen and understood without judgement. It takes some on your part though. Attend some meetings or search for new groups and events. Get involved, embrace the journey, and be yourself. You got this!
