Thank you to our friends at Humane Fort Wayne for donating books dealing with the loss of a pet for our grief library. Your kindness and compassion is appreciated more than you know.

Our shelves are looking a little sparse. This will be the third time we are refilling our Grief Library. Knowing that we have provided additional information to families at their time of need is truly heartwarming and we are honored to be able to provide this additional level of care. Please know that this grief library is for our community and not only for the families we care for. If you need a book, take a book.

If you have a recommendation of a book that helped you cope with grief, please let us know so we can add it to our collection.

Please proceed with caution if you visit the cemetery today. The high winds and old trees don’t always get along. We are aware of downed branches and a fallen tree. Our team will start the clean up process when the winds have subsided and it’s safe for them to tend to the areas.

For our employee stockings this year, we changed it up a little! We had one last chance to support Wreaths Across America this year and we went for it! MISSION BBQ has cups still available through the end of the year.

We are grateful to all who helped us yesterday to honor the memory of our Allen County veterans resting at Lindenwood Cemetery. The Mary Penrose Wayne Chapter is proud to be a partner with Wreaths Across America to REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom. More wreaths were placed yesterday than in recent years, but there are more men and women to be honored!

We appreciate you all so much for doing all you do for our veterans!
