We encourage you to read Susan's points here regarding the recently exposed exploitative billing practices by some ABA providers.
See especially the second numbered list where she outlines how their greed isn't a problem of the past - not by a long shot.

Their greed is causing innocent families and ethical service providers to suffer in a cascade of harmful repercussions that has not yet reached its peak.

Stay informed about this issue. Let your legislators know this was never acceptable and that families and quality providers shouldn't have to pay the price.
We'll share more tools to help you advocate soon, so stay tuned.

Come check out all the activities and resources at the Dr Seuss Sensory Friendly Spring into Reading event by My Autism Ally! Today till 3 - come to the PFW Walb Student Union.

There are calm environments to the side and lots to do in the main space. There will even be sensory friendly storytimes!

The event and parking are free!

Learning happens where life happens.

That's the purpose behind NET (natural environment teaching), in which we use authentic play and life-skill scenarios to help our ABA kiddos practice a wide variety of overlapping skills - both on the surface and far deeper in.

The integration of immediate, clear purpose and long-term wholistic impact respects the client for both who they are and who they will become...

In the kitchen, our clients may look like they're only:
🍽️ Using utensils appropriately
🧼 Washing and rinsing dishes
⏲️ Setting and waiting for a microwave timer
🧽 Cleaning tables after a meal
🧹 Sweeping the floor

Sooooo much more is happening beneath the surface than simple household tasks. Clients are building:
- Functional communication
- Following multi-step directions
- Fine and gross motor skills
- Independence and confidence
- Safety awareness
- Problem-solving skills
- Executive functioning (planning, organizing, completing tasks)

And we love making all that happen!
