Happy World Hearing Day!
World Hearing Day is a World Health Organization (WHO) initiative to raise global awareness on hearing loss prevention and promotion of ear and hearing healthcare. The 2026 theme is "From Communities to Classrooms: Hearing Care for All Children." GiveHear is so proud of our pediatric outreach programs and clinical care!
GiveHear offers a grant-funded School Screening Program to regional preschools and K-12 programs with the goal of identifying children with potential hearing loss. Our team screens about 1,000 children per school year. Children who do not pass onsite screening are offered comprehensive follow-up at our clinics to rule-out or confirm hearing loss.
Our Newborn Hearing Program offers price-capped hearing screenings for infants who do not receive this service at birth and comprehensive follow-up testing for babies who do not pass newborn hearing screening. This program is available to all families regardless of household income and/or insurance status.
And, of course, our clinics offer diagnostic and rehabilitative services - testing, hearing aids, and cochlear implant services - to children of all ages. GiveHear accepts all Indiana Medicaid programs, Children's Special Health Care Services, and most commercial insurances. We are First Steps and HAAPI providers as well!
