Jamique is our October Employee of the Month. She is a graduate of our CNA training program and has been with Summit City for one year this month. She always comes to work with a smile and we can always count on her for a good laugh! Jamique loves spending time with her two sons and when they aren't busy with playdates, she enjoys reading a good book. Thank you Jamique for making such a difference in our resident's lives.

Congratulations Erica Irby, QMA, our Quest for Excellence winner for 2025! We are looking forward to honoring this year's outstanding Quest Winners at the banquet on November 13 at the Marriott in Indianapolis.

Erica Irby is a staple our nursing department; both as a CNA and QMA. Erica joined our team over 12 years ago, dedicating her days to improving lives by providing the best quality of care possible. When it comes to making a difference, no one does it better than Erica. She always wears a smile - even on the toughest days, always showing up for one purpose: to give her best and share her love with residents and teammates.

Erica’s commitment to excellence underscores her mission to bring happiness to residents every day. She never lets long hours, late admissions, or difficult situations dampen her spirit. She simply rolls up her sleeves and gets the job done.

Erica is the first to jump in when needed, selflessly staying to be sure everyone is taken care of. If given a task, you can guarantee it is done and done right. Erica has built special relationships with residents and teammates through respect, genuine compassion, and a deep understanding of what it means to be present for others.

When asked to describe Erica, one resident said, “Knowing she is working when I wake up, makes me feel like it’s a Friday, whatever day it really is. She is just the best you can ask for.” A coworker shared, “When Erica is there, you know it’s going to be a good day, the job will get done, and people will be taken care of. It’s just a good feeling when she’s here.”

Erica is a prime example of what it means to be on a quest for excellence. Congratulations, Erica; we are very proud of you!
